Trill

Beta forming

Your voice never leaves your device.

Dictation that runs entirely on your Mac. Your voice never leaves your device.

What it is

Trill runs the entire pipeline on the user’s own hardware: tap a hotkey anywhere on macOS, speak, and on-device models transcribe and clean the text before it pastes into whatever app has focus. A four-stop dial — Verbatim, Light, Medium, Heavy — decides how much of what you said gets rewritten, routed per app. There is no upload step to govern: turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.

Who it’s for

People who dictate as part of how they work — writers, professionals, and developers speaking prompts into AI coding agents — especially the privacy-conscious.

The problem

Every cloud dictation app uploads your voice to servers you don’t control — their privacy pages are promises about what happens to your audio after it arrives. And raw speech-to-text doesn’t adapt to where you’re typing: a terminal, an email, and an AI agent each need different treatment.

Why it’s different

  1. 01

Architectural privacy, not policy privacy — there is no server. Audio never leaves the device on any setting.

  2. 02

Verifiability as a feature: a published data boundary, a build gate that fails on undeclared network calls, and instructions for checking the claim yourself.

  3. 03

One price, owned forever — against subscription competitors, every feature ever shipped is included.

  4. 04

Purpose-built for dictating to AI coding agents, with guarded prompt restructuring that protects names, files, and numbers.

Where it stands

Closed beta forming ahead of public launch. Mac (Apple silicon) today; Windows in progress; mobile planned. Not on sale yet — $59-once is launch pricing.

Trill is structured to operate — and transact — independently under MACH Ventures: its own brand, its own codebase, its own infrastructure.
